Why are you trying to ruin my day?! Come back here and take your crappy router out of my apartment right now. And I want that Linksys hooked BACK up.

Nyeh. Dad said I might have to call Time Warner to see if they'll forward my ports for me, since the stupid router they installed won't let me do that. I was yellow-lighting on BitTornado the other day and have been doing it tonight, and I went into Mom's room before she went to bed to discover the Linksys sitting neglected and unplugged. The guy installed crap. Mom got a laptop and wanted wireless internet and the guy installed crap. And I'm not the only person in this city with this problem. Apparently no one in NYC with Road Runner and a Time Warner-supplied router (Ambit, who the heck are they?) can forward their ports. I went to the manufacturer's website and found that the one router I think is the one I have (can't check since Mom's asleep) is the ONE router on the entire site that doesn't have a user guide. All the other ones do. I smell a gigantic rat.

Ugh. Was better when we controlled stuff. We pay for the blinking connection (and we're paying extra, apparently), why should we have to be limited?

I'm totally going in that room tomorrow and looking at that setup. I really don't want to have to call those people. And Mom knows absolutely nothing about it, so I'll have to be the one. Grr. Will have to do my downloading on the weekends and make sure I have my flash drives with me. Adams Cable in PA better not get bought up by Time Warner. 9_9
