Paranoia isn't very becoming. Brad won't let Six Apart kill LiveJournal, it's his baby. He's had it for, what, five or six years? If they were really going to start charging more money/own our LJs/screwing LJ up, do you really think all these paid users would still stay here? They'd lose money faster than they could blink. And it's not like Brad's not going to be working on LJ anymore. Calm down.

And think about how pretty it'll look now! XD I love LJ, but it's always been very plain... and plain is good, because LJ still works (most of the time ^^;;), but maybe something else would be better.

I've felt screwed over by a website that doesn't even charge money for you to get its services. It's called Fanfiction.net. Remember that? Using 9/11 (actual 9/11, too, not an anniversary) as a cover, closing the site for two or three days and wiping it clean of whatever they thought was inappropriate, without telling the writers? Yeah. I've never seen so many people so angry.

Anyway... 'tis Thursday, though it should be tomorrow. I am rather proud of myself, though... for once, I didn't hit the snooze button a million times. Just once. I was thinking about heading to Borders to check on those books. (They're supposed to keep their inventory up-to-date and update the website if they sell out of something. I have four stores that I check inventory for. A couple of days ago, three of them had the Holmes set, Wall Street being one of them. I checked with them online to see if they had it, they said they must have sold the last one. I just checked the site again yesterday, and the other two stores that had the set no longer have them, so three are showing "Order" instead of the previous one. Wall Street still says "Yes".) I have enough cash that I could get them today... but I guess I'll wait. Really, the only reason for waiting is not feeling like pulling myself out of this chair just yet. ^^;; I can't remember how long it takes me to get down there, get what I want, and get to work... so I'll just leave it.

(Part of the reason I wanted to go was to bust them if they, in fact, didn't have it. I'm a frequent Borders customer, I want good service. This'll be the second time I've gone to get something and the site hasn't been updated. And if I complain, maybe I'll get a coupon or something from the corporate office, bwahaha.)

I wanna go up to the house with Mom tomorrow. ;_; I'm not even in the mood to go to the IRS tomorrow... and I've already spent a day out of work, last week... I have more than enough leave time that I could take the day, but it's Friday, and it's the IRS, and it's really easy, and as Mom said, Mondays and Fridays aren't the days to take off... I just want to get out already. And I never get up there with her. And it would be SO wonderful to get up to the house early for a change. Maybe I'll ask her about it later on, hehe. I'll save the bus fare, too. Then I'll definitely be able to afford those books.

During my lunch break, I went to Borders. They don't have the books. But, I notice, they have finally updated the webpage, so I can't kick their asses or anything. Sigh.

I did, however, pick up A Study in Scarlet. I'm loving it. ^______^ It's amusing, how much like Holmes Shinichi is in Detective Conan. I didn't think he'd be such a smartass!

Food!

I found the CD of Jet Set Radio music (not Future, original JSR) I made back in 2001. XDDDD The nostalgia. I must remember to bring the red memory card tomorrow, and our Dreamcast games, and make sure we have all the power/video cords readily available, because we are SO playing this game. I've been itching to play it lately, just haven't had the motivation to remember to bring the memory card/game back to the house.

And Toy Commander. Can't forget Toy Commander. If I hook up the Dreamcast and don't bring that game, Craig will kill me. Will probably bring Rippin' Riders too, just because. That game got me interested in SSX Tricky when it first came out. First snowboarding game ever played. I used to own the Super Half-Pipe. XD

I love this game, I love this game's music. *_* JSRF's music wasn't the same. XD; I need to download Sneakman, though... I forgot I didn't put it on this CD for some retarded reason...

Oh, took the day off tomorrow. I don't have much money in the bank (less now that I went and bought A Study in Scarlet... it was only $7, but I only had $33 XD;;), and I decided early on today that I would take tomorrow off and go up to the house with Mom. This way, there's no train/bus fare.

It's hard enough for me to draw rendered characters, because they never turn out looking the way they ought to. It's a lot easier drawing something that's not 3D.

But, that isn't what made her really hard to get right. That glow of hers... it makes it nearly impossible to see details in her face and such. ^^;; She's freaking skinny, too. And if I draw all of her, which I'm aiming to do, then I'll have to work on my anatomy a bit since she wears a dress and her legs show.

I think I'd do better drawing Ico, and he's more complex, what with those horns sticking out of his head and the bandages wrapped around them. XD; I might actually be finally getting over this stupid art block I've had! About time, too. Between not having anything to read (prior to today), and not being able to write or draw, I've been going crazy. There has been absolutely no outlet for anything lately.

Found a foolproof way to practice on Taiko Drum Master. I've been playing two-player games, but have had the first player on Auto so it plays my lines flawlessly, and I've been following along as the second player. This way I get to hear exactly where my mistakes are, because they don't match up with the Auto player. I can now clear Ridge Racer (easily the hardest song in the game) on Hard/Oni with at least 97% accuracy. A few weeks ago I couldn't even clear it. ^^;

Stupid ice on the roadways. We could be on our way up to the house already. Mom isn't going now, though. She told me that on Eyewitness News, the weather guy specifically pointed out I-84 and Pike County for ice problems. Pike County is where she had her accident, so hell no are we going up there now. I wouldn't stand for it, anyway. It'll be warmer tomorrow, it should melt.

And because I know I'll forget to save them/copy them... )

EDIT: Yo, my ICO OST download is missing two tracks! >_<# You get what you pay for, I guess...
