Few things.
Apr. 17th, 2009 08:47 amFirst, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. July 15. Just saw the trailer. Must go see. (And now that I'm thinking about it, I think the previous movie came out at exactly the same time. I know I went to visit Beth in mid-July, and we saw it while I was up there.)
Two, Dona's getting me a subscription to Dog Fancy magazine. I'd bought it yesterday at Borders and she saw it sticking out of the bag, and after flipping through it a bit, found one of the subscription cards and told me to fill it out. I started to protest, but she wouldn't hear it and said she'd been trying to think of something to get me anyway. So, yay. ^_^ Seriously, there are four people that work here that I'll miss when I leave, two of them sorely, and she's one of the two. (Maureen is the other one. She's awesome.)
Three, TGIF. TG.
Administrative Professionals Day is next week. I really hope they don't make a big deal out of it. (Really, I was supposed to be out of here before that day hit.) I do not like to be the center of attention, not even for a few minutes. It's really uncomfortable for me.
And I had to buy a pack of pencils at Duane Reade (which means I overpaid) this morning. I was waiting on the platform for the train and pulled out my sketchbook and pencil, and somehow managed to flip the pencil out of my hand and down onto the tracks. (Into some nasty stagnant water, no less.) I have another mechanical pencil I bought some time earlier that has a comfort grip and everything, but there's something very familiar about plain Papermate SharpWriter twist-tip mechanical pencils. If I don't have one of those, I'm not happy. This pack has five pencils in it, and I'm just going to leave it in my bag in case stupidity happens again.
It shall be another day of registering people for the four information sessions next week. Fofie's gotten on my nerves again--I told her when she was going to send out the e-mail to tell everyone to e-mail me instead of calling me, because (A) I like to have a paper trail, and (B) because a lot of people have very thick accents or just speak too quickly on the phone, and you don't have to decipher text. Fofie sends out the e-mail. I start getting phone calls anyway among the e-mails. You know why? The invite she sent as an attachment has my phone number on it, and she didn't tell everyone I prefer the e-mail route. -_- Talking on phones all day drains me. By the time I got home, I was exhausted, and I actually fell asleep. Didn't wake up until Mom shook me and said Oliver had come to her all simultaneously whiny and excited.
... and it starts. Bleh. Today better freakin' fly. Though I know it won't.
