Yesterday, at the secretaries' operations meeting (the one that comes quarterly that I always initially complain about, but is the one meeting I actually enjoy due to people having a good sense of humor and stuff actually getting done), we were told that Albany is limiting the amount of paper usage (Digna called it the "printer police"). It doesn't apply to divisions that order their own paper (like IT does, thankfully), but there are seven divisions on the 24th floor that get their paper through either the mailroom or the executive staff, as in, the paper they get all comes out of one cost center code. They've been told that they're now going to get one box of paper per month, and if they run out of paper, that's it until the next month. One box has 10 reams of 500 sheets of paper, and 5,000 isn't quite enough for a lot of people... not to mention the paper's not all going to one machine, because most times it's going to one or two printers, a fax machine, and a copier. Margaret in Child Protective Services was already upset by it, since she has big assignments that need to be done that need printing.

I keep our paper stored in the copier room on the 23rd floor, on our side of the floor. I can't do that anymore, because paper will grow legs and walk. We already know this. John actually came to me about ten minutes before I left to ask me about it, and he ended up bringing the paper we have left (about 28 reams) into the server room, which is always locked, at least until we can figure out where else to lock up the paper. The boss was talking about putting it in the storage room in the filing cabinets, but unless we have a key to a cabinet, that's not going to work.

ANYWAY. Should be interesting.

I came home today for the second time in a row to a headache. I'm not getting enough sleep. So yeah, need to actually sleep tonight. Have to do my laundry first, though.

Got my Astronomy book! The seller threw in the workbook free. It's 5th edition, not 4th like the textbook, and I don't know if that matters... but free book! Was very nice of her. I just need to find out what the rest of my books are so I can go browsing on Amazon for them.
