I need sleep.
Mar. 10th, 2010 06:50 pmAnd my left hand/wrist/elbow/something is bothering me. That may be because I went to get my supplies for painting and decided to bring everything home at once... everything including about 15 canvas boards. (After I got back to work, Rani confirmed that stretched canvas is lighter, which I had expected, but I figured it would've been less cumbersome to carry the flat boards. I needed 6 14"x18" boards and 4 18"x24" ones, and Blick's packs comes in fives, so I ended up buying 10 of the smaller ones. Nothing wrong with extra canvasses.)
Professor for painting seems like a nice woman, and I'm actually pretty excited. Tomorrow I get to sleep in a bit longer, since I don't have to be at school until 9:15. I can leave here at about 8:30. I'll probably still end up waking up early and still having to take Oliver out for a walk pretty early, but yay. I might actually shut off my alarm tonight.
We're only using acrylic paints, but Prof. Segre said if we want to experiment with oils, she'll talk us through it. She wants us to experiment (willingness to experiment is one of the points mentioned on the syllabus as a factor on your grade), so maybe I'll ask her about it. I do know that I'm interested in them, but to pull off what I've seen will take YEARS of practice. And that's if I like painting that much. XD;;
No more typing, hand's killing me now. Nice that I can still type right-handed, though.
