Sep. 16th, 2010 11:36 pmDropped Aesthetics. I made a big deal out of it, but I think the back and forth between school and work and home would kill me. I've already been completely exhausted all week. I didn't want to go to work at all today after art history and made myself go. Good thing, because the boss actually wasn't in. Of course, everyone decided they needed me not even five minutes after I sat down.
But yeah, I'll try to take it next semester, but I don't think I'll be able to with everything else I'll need to take.
Life Drawing teacher, Prof. Mutter, is cool, kind of like a cool older uncle type. As a beginning/let's get to know how you all work exercise, he shoved a Minnie Mouse doll between a light fixture and the ceiling and had us draw it. He just shoved it up there and went, "Okay, there's your subject!" XD Everyone leaned their drawings up against their art horses at the end, and it was cool seeing how everyone approached the drawing. Not everyone used the charcoal he provided; some used pencil. Some sketched, some used lots of shading, some used very heavy lines. Next week, and for every class after this one, we'll have a model.
So, I officially have a semester FULL of great teachers. :D I let Craig listen to some of my English class from yesterday, during which Terry was telling us about the real meaning behind Red Riding Hood. The man is hilarious.
Anyway, I'm tired. And Oliver just rolled over and let out a snore. He has the right idea. I'm getting my hair done tomorrow morning and don't have to be there until ten, so more sleeping in! Later on, I'm taking Craig and Oliver, and we're going to the house via train, because Craig's wanted to take the train up for a while now. Taking Oliver makes things a little difficult just because of his weight, but this way we can get one of the three-seater sections all to ourselves, haha. Oliver can sit between us.
