Bad/neutral news is, the grant was ALWAYS supposed to come to me. The reason the $900 was removed from the scholarship was because it was a placeholder amount for the grant. Looking at my financial aid breakdown, everything adds up. The FSEOG isn't listed because it wasn't there yet. So, back to normal, which is where I'm supposed to be.
Good news? Capital One upped my credit limit. I just logged into it today for the first time in like a week, so I hadn't actually noticed it. I am not using the card, unless absolutely necessary, and I'm still determined to pay a decent amount of it down, but if I can't afford to make crazy payments toward it, I won't. If I have to just make the minimum payment every month, then that's what I'll do. Still, it's nice to know the extra funds are there if I need them. I guess I shouldn't really be surprised. I always pay on time and tend to pay more than the minimum. Mom said she thinks I should dial back on that for a while, just do the minimum, since money will become an issue later.
I might also have to call up unemployment to find out what the hell's going on with 599, and I am NOT looking forward to dealing with Judy.
Made a tuition payment today, because I have the money and will be getting more Wednesday. The good thing is I don't spend a lot, so the amount I get every week more or less stays in my account until I use it. I think, every Monday from now until it's paid off, I'm going to make payments. Making one with the money I already had actually means I'll have FOUR payments to myself, and those I might just hold rather than apply them to the card. I'm going to need the money next semester for books and supplies.
Got credit for Beginning Painting and Design and Color! That's one required class and one 2D class out of the way. I'm going to attempt getting credit for 3D Design, but I don't think that'll fly. What they do in that class and what I did in A&DS aren't quite the same thing, and there wasn't a LOT of work in A&DS. We did four projects, one didn't involve actually making anything, and the only one I feel was actually a lot of work was the artist's book. The other two... for the combine, most of the work was the planning and getting the shape of the mushroom cloud right (... I just realized the mushroom cloud is still at the school. So's the combine, actually. Unless they got rid of that stuff. ^^;;), and for the site-specific piece, it's was all planning. Seriously, my site-specific thing was nothing. Nine gray mini-canvases to blend in with the wall, with colored leaves glued on, attached to a stairway wall with 3M double-sided squares. It did fit the description of the project, though. You don't really notice it when you're walking past it.
So anyway, I'll see what Bethany says tomorrow. If she accepts it, it'll be really pushing what 3D Design is all about. I'm not getting my hopes up. Haha, she'll probably be like, "Christina... really? No no no, not gonna happen." XDDD
One more class today! And it's the dumbest class of all! :D I really need to go to the studio. Didn't do it at all this weekend. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be my work days. Have to make six teacups, four of which will match (kind of) my teapot. I imagine we'll be glazing and firing everything after this.
I have had more connectivity issues at this school than ever. They better be happy I like it here. ^^;
