Also, I totally overslept today! :D I should be in math right now. I'm not. This is what happens when I spent WAY too much time working on math homework. I'm going to drop by at the tail end of class (roughly ten minutes from now) and hand him the written portion of the assignment... It's not completed (I had a really rough time with it), but what matters is it'll be submitted. The other half of the assignment was submitted late last night. I'll just tell him I had a lot of difficulty with it. Because I did.

What math are you in right now? I hate math, it's such a pain when you have dyscalculia ; ; Do you know about that? I didn't until like, last year. Would have helped me a loooojng time ago if I'd known before :/

I'm taking Quantitative Methods, which is... well, here:

Mathematics 103 prepares students to be quantitatively literate citizens in today's world. By learning to think critiically about quantitative issues, students will be able to make responsible decisions in their daily lives. Problems are analyzed and solved using numerical, graphical, statistical, and algebraic reasoning. Technology is used to help visualize data and facilitate calculations, as well as to present quantitative output and verbal arguments.

The reason I'm taking THAT class is because it's the one math class I can take that completely fills the math requirement. There are other classes I can take, but they mean having to take TWO math classes, and no. One is more than enough.

We were mainly doing things like interpreting data from graphs and creating graphs in Excel from data tables in the beginning, and I was fine with that, but this last homework assignment involved MATH. Like, equations and formulas and crap. And I totally lost all my confidence, because I am TERRIBLE at that stuff. I can't grasp it. I think Henry will see that something's off. I told him at the beginning that I suck at math, and I think it's been kind of an informed attribute up to this point, since I've been doing so well. Today I handed in my incomplete assignment and told him I was trying to work on it last night, overslept because of it, and STILL didn't complete it because I had so much trouble. ._.

I've never heard of dyscalculia before reading your comment. I have some of those symptoms, too. I didn't know there was a name for that sort of thing, I thought it was just fail. What do you do in that situation? Just go forward?

Usually there'll be a place in your school office where you can take tests for learning disabilities. Usually the policy is to get tested so that whatever disability is established, then the school goes from there. Maybe your professor will set aside some extra time for you, or maybe they have special tutoring. You may want to check that out. I wish I'd known about this before I went into the last math class I took, it would have been super helpful lol ;;

You may want to brush up on algebra if it's been a long time since you took it. The best method I've found is to find a site that gives you tests to take after giving you a review. That tends to sear the information into your brain better. I did not do this and totally regretted it :/

I'm definitely going to see about tutoring. We're a month in, and I'm sure it'll only get worse from here. -_-

I'll find a site like that. Haha, I just have to concentrate on it. I get distracted SO easily these days. ^^;

I had to basically reward myself for things. I'd make a list for the day, divide it up into sections, and reward myself with some free time once I'd accomplished that. I had to put studying time in there too lol ;; It worked out pretty well though, it was always accomplishing to cross things off a list
