You know I didn't even HAVE to go to the doctor today? Dr. Valdes told me I didn't need another physical, because he'd basically done one the first time I went to see him. And you know what I get for my trouble? He said something's still not showing up in my urine right. Something about young people and protein in their urine, which apparently shouldn't be. Or something to that effect. So he told me to go to the lab and tell them I have to have a 24-hour urine test done. The woman behind the counter gives me this big-ass plastic... jar? Some cylinder container. Next week (not this week because I'm on my period and it will be a waste if I do it now), I have to fill the thing with all my urine within a 24-hour period. Guess what I'll be doing Sunday?

Ew. Just... no. Really. I know it's good to know if there's something wrong, because Mom said her dad had some problem with his kidneys, and for some odd reason my urine tests keep saying I have an infection when I have no symptoms of one, but... *shudders*

And then I have to deliver the thing back downtown? I have to drag that thing with me on the train back to the lab?

Dude. I don't even like going in the freaking cup. >_< Anyway...

But, before I got there, I managed to get things sorted out for my non-driver ID, and also got to the bookstore and picked up GetBackers! XD I'd forgotten it was out until I saw it. It's a little worn, its front cover is bent... but it was the last one they had. And I didn't feel like walking up to Waldenbooks after the doctor's appointment. So I have Ban-and-Ginjiness in my bookbag as we speak, hee. I love it. No way Craig can look at it though. They aren't kidding when they say 16+. XD;;;

I have a huge headache... I'm hoping it's because I'm tired. That's the only reason I can come up with.

Oh, and Mom apologized for the money situation. Which is good. I don't like going all evil on her. I mean, I didn't actually say anything, but the thoughts were there. ^^;

You know, the last time I did a urine test they told me the same thing. I didn't have to piss in a jar, but I had to take the urine test over but I have no idea what became of that. They never told me anything. *shrug* No idea what that was about. All they'd told me was "oh there's protein in your urine".

Well no, that's the really nasty part. I don't piss in the container. I piss in the toilet. I have to use a clean jar to scoop the piss out of the toilet and put it into the container.

Or something like that. I need to read the instructions again. But they clearly say not to pee directly into the container, go in the toilet. 9_9

I don't think I'd have known anything if I didn't go in today. ^^;; I don't get phone calls or anything, either... I need to find out what's bad about protein in urine... WebMD has been my friend lately. XD;

That's really weird. What if your toilet is filthy? What if someone else's urine residue gets mixed in and that screws up your results? Let's say that your mom was pregnant (knock on wood!!) and she used the toilet. You flushed but there's some particles of hers still floatin' about. So you take the sample from the same toilet water and you get some crazy "omg you're pregnant" result. I'm so corn-fused!
