Something that scared me (but not in a bad way)--Mom wanted to hear the Nightwish CD I picked up (Wishmaster), and she asked me if she'd like what she heard. I told her definitely not. But she was curious, and wanted to hear it, so we popped it into the CD player...
... and she likes it. She doesn't like Tarja's voice though, she thinks Tarja should bring it down an octave. Other than that, the heavy guitars didn't scare her off. She even told me Nightwish sounds like another group she knows of--and I might be spelling this wrong--Manheim Steamroller. It just amuses me so much that she didn't immediately shut the CD off and complain about her bleeding ears. XD
I love this song. This CD needs to come out already so I can listen to these tracks without having to hear that "you are listening to..." thing. ^^;
Pic I was CGing at work is more or less done. X) Trying to decide if I should use it for a new ID or something. The only thing is CJ's not in the pic at all. She's my persona, and she's been in every ID I've done... maybe I'll stick a little chibi of her somewhere.
Eeee, my Elves look so cute! =3 Their necks are a bit too long, but they're cute anyway, hee.

Jun. 21st, 2004 09:49 pm... One of the songs from Balloon Kid is the alternate song for Icicle Mountain in SSBM. o_o
I'm slightly pissed off at my cousin right now, because she's falling into that pattern people tend to get into with abusive relationships... her boyfriend (ex?) beat her again today. She neglected to tell Mom that he's been living with her. Why you'd let someone you know is abusive live with you, I've no idea.
She has no money, he's been living off her, she spent her last quarter calling Mom today. She has no clothes. Mom sent her $100 she practically doesn't have. Dipping into my account will happen. But I don't care, because I'm worried about Nicki and Ashar.
If anything happens to her or my newest cousin, I'll kick the guy's ass. I've only gotten to see Ashar once, and I remember when Keisha's (she's my sister, by the way... same dad, different mom) son got killed by her ex, and I didn't even get a chance to see him.
And why do I get the feeling I'm being talked about?
Meh... feeling bleh. Not looking forward to work tomorrow, but don't want to take a day off, because I'm supposed to be saving my time and stuff. I just want to sleep the day away. But I suppose I can stick it out until the weekend.
