Oliver got mad at me. XD
May. 19th, 2010 07:02 pmWhen I left for class yesterday, it was raining, but we wanted to see if Oliver would walk, so he and Mom left with me. He did his usual hang around by the door thing when he saw it was raining, but I walked ahead and told him to follow, so he did. And I kept walking while he and Mom stopped for him to pee.
When I got home, Oliver was standing up, and went over to sit next to Mom. Mom told me he hadn't been that close to her all day, but as soon as I came home, he went right up under her, like "I don't need you anyway, I have HER." Seemed confirmed when I went over to him and started petting him, and he kind of turned his head away. Eventually, he rolled over and did his happy dance, hehe.
Painting was fun. I'm doing a simplified version of a Chuck Close painting. The process he uses is complicated as all hell, so I'm putting down my base colors first, and then drawing squiggles and things in each box. Right now I'm just filling everything in. It looks good so far. Still in progress, and I need to fix a few things, but I'm liking it.
One illustration is complete. I need to finish coloring "Loss", but I'm at a loss (ha, sorry) for ideas on how to color it. The girl character's colored already, and most of the boy is (I just need to decide on his shirt), but the background... I don't know. I picture lots of gray, gloomy colors, but I can't figure it out. And I want to go to sleep. I'm exhausted. Oliver woke me up last night because he was hungry, and I don't think I slept right after that. My TV was on, but it hadn't been bothering me before my sleep was interrupted. Afterwards, I think I paid attention to it too much or something.
